Located in DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, The Collective is WC Smith’s signature market-rate residential property. The Collective comprises three buildings: Park Chelsea, Agora, which also houses a Whole Foods grocery store, and The Garrett, bringing more than 1,100 units to the community.
About The Project
The Collective is a three-building, mixed-use property in Washington, DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. The three buildings comprising The Collective – Park Chelsea, Agora and The Garrett – were built between 2013 and 2019 and contain 1133 apartments. District Electrical was the electrical contractor for all three buildings. The electrical distribution included 2,889 feet of 4000 amp busway that provided electrical to the meter centers located through the 3 buildings. The lighting for each building was designed to give each building a unique style and involved 430 different types, including many custom-made pieces, for a total of more than 18,567 fixtures. All the lighting in the amenity areas are controlled by a central control system for dimming and time of day.
